About us
After many years in the education sector, we experienced that attendance registration was cumbersome and resource-intensive with the traditional systems that existed. Both teachers and school management expressed a desire for a better and more modern system that covered everyone's needs.
And thus the idea of NOA arose.
The task of recording attendance and absences in schools is often seen as a time-consuming chore that takes valuable time away from teaching and administration. Students find it cumbersome to access and keep track of their own attendance records.
We have taken these experiences with us to create NOA, a digital and innovative system for registering attendance, which simplifies everyday life and meets the requirements imposed on employees in the education sector.

NOA has been developed in close collaboration with our pilot clients: Sonans Privatgymnas, the University of Agder, and Volda University College. We have created features that have been specifically requested in the university and college sector, offering a high degree of flexibility for each institution.
NOA consists of an app and a web version. The app is free and used by the students. The web version is license-based and used by lecturers and administration.
Key information about NOA
The idea of digital attendance registration was implemented in 2017 and developed with Sonans Privatgymnas as the first client and pilot, working with private schools across Norway.
NOA AS was established in 2018 by CEO Hege Longva, and Tatsiana Komissarova.
NOA AS received NOK 500,000 in commercialization support from Innovation Norway in 2018.
In 2021, we welcomed two new partners: Julie Haakenstad and Silje Urke Antonsen.
In the fall of 2021, approximately 60,000 students and staff used one or more of NOA’s three modules for class attendance, first-day attendance, and contact tracing.
In the autumn of 2022, we welcomed four new investors and partners: Kenneth Grande, Atle Birger Flø, Eirik Lund and Roger Gjerde.
The NOA board consists of 7 people with interdisciplinary expertise in education, technology, digitalization, startups and marketing.
In the autumn of 2023, we launched NOA Evolve for companies that need an overview of employees' further education, such as auditors and accountants.

KENNETH GRANDE

Serial entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years of experience in various leadership positions within software development and IT operations. Extensive board experience from different companies in IT and industry. Currently CEO of Moonde AS.
EIRIK LUND
Partner, CFO and board member
Has over 13 years of experience in banking and finance. Works as a teacher at Sonans Privatgymnas and is a daily user of NOA. Is also the general manager for LFM Eiendom.
